Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Extensive experience in a medical communications agency environment.
- Strong expertise across publications and medical affairs.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple complex client accounts and advising senior stakeholders.
- Knowledge of publication planning and execution, medical affairs communications, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience leading and developing Client Services teams, including managing managers and/or multiple direct reports.
- Financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability management, SOW development, and account growth.
- Experience contributing to or leading proposals, pitches, and RFP/RFI responses.
- Experience with iEnvision, Veeva, or comparable systems.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, priorities, timelines, and complex programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across publications and medical affairs accounts.
- Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic counsel.
- Oversee publication programs, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and congress activities.
- Develop medical communications plans with Scientific Services and cross-functional teams.
- Establish operational best practices that support delivery quality, efficiency, and account performance.
- Manage account budgets, forecasting, profitability, reconciliation, invoicing, and Statements of Work.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Client Services team members, including managers and direct reports.
- Identify account growth opportunities and contribute to proposals, pitches, RFPs/RFIs, and client onboarding.
