Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Extensive medical communications agency experience.
  • Strong expertise across publications and medical affairs.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple complex client accounts and advising senior stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of publication planning and delivery, medical affairs communications, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading and developing Client Services teams, including managing managers and/or multiple direct reports.
  • Financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, profitability, SOW development, and account growth.
  • Experience leading or contributing to business development, including proposals, pitches, and RFP/RFI responses.
  • Experience with iEnvision, Veeva, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across publications and medical affairs accounts.
  • Build relationships with senior client stakeholders and provide strategic counsel.
  • Oversee publication programs, including abstracts, posters, manuscripts, and congress activities.
  • Partner with Scientific Services and cross-functional teams to develop medical communications plans.
  • Improve delivery practices, operational efficiency, and organic account growth.
  • Manage account budgets, forecasts, profitability, reconciliation, invoicing, and SOW development.
  • Lead and develop Client Services team members.
  • Support business development through proposals, RFP/RFI responses, presentations, budgets, and onboarding.
