Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Approximately 13 years of agency experience.
- Significant pharmaceutical, healthcare, or related agency experience.
- Ideally, a strong track record managing and growing $1M+ pharmaceutical or healthcare accounts.
- Experience managing complex client relationships and leading large or high-profile accounts.
- Understanding of healthcare products, disease states, treatment landscapes, clinicians, influencers, professional organizations, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Financial management experience including forecasting, revenue recognition, pricing, budgeting, and account profitability.
- Business development experience identifying organic growth opportunities, developing senior-level relationships, and contributing to pitches and proposals.
- Leadership and mentoring experience motivating multidisciplinary teams and developing account talent.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet-based tools.
- Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally, including overnight stays, as required.
Responsibilities
- Lead assigned client accounts as the primary business leader, overseeing account strategy, delivery, client satisfaction, and agency performance.
- Direct account teams on day-to-day tactics and guide high-profile initiatives, strategic deliverables, and new business opportunities.
- Build relationships with director-level and senior client stakeholders and identify opportunities, risks, and issues.
- Oversee forecasting, revenue recognition, pricing, revisions, and financial planning for assigned accounts.
- Monitor account financial performance, identify revenue opportunities or risks, and communicate changes to senior leadership.
- Maintain knowledge of clients’ products, disease areas, markets, competitors, treatment landscapes, and relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client business and participate in pitches, proposals, and other business development initiatives.
- Mentor account team members and lead cross-functional collaboration and issue resolution.
