Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Have deep experience with idiomatic Go.
- Have experience with protobuf APIs, including gRPC and Connect RPC.
- Have experience with PostgreSQL, including migrations, as well as Redis and RabbitMQ.
- Have experience with multi-tenant services and OAuth2/OIDC.
- Understand event-driven systems, including at-least-once delivery and idempotent consumers.
- Have deep knowledge of observability and instrumentation, including OpenTelemetry.
- Have a solid understanding of networking, including devices, configuration, protocols, and layers.
- Be able to use coding agents day to day and review their output for correctness, security, and tests.
- Be able to write technical specifications with diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain software for network discovery and reconciliation.
- Develop network observability and monitoring capabilities.
- Work on agents and fleet management.
- Collaborate with product owners to implement ideas and deliver user experiences.
- Work with the NetBox team to build observability tooling within NetBox.
- Integrate with the platform team to support NetBox Cloud and Enterprise.
- Work with community members who use and contribute to the projects.
- Use coding agents while setting constraints, reviewing output, and remaining accountable for correctness, security, and tests.
