Job Details

Have 7+ years of relevant nonprofit fundraising experience.
Demonstrate success in individual giving, corporate sponsorships, grant writing, and/or major fundraising events.
Identify and cultivate prospects, develop donor relationships, and advance opportunities through the fundraising lifecycle.
Have experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage donor and prospect activity.
Build relationships and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Work independently and proactively while collaborating with distributed teams.
Reside within the local community served by the chapter; candidates with at least three years in the designated chapter community are preferred.
Travel locally up to 40% or less depending on business needs, and travel overnight several times per year for organizational gatherings and planning.
Work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays when fundraising and community activities require it.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Knowledge of the military family experience and local philanthropic landscape is preferred.

Support the Chapter Executive Director in developing and executing local fundraising strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals.
Build, qualify, and manage a portfolio of at least 30 new major gift prospects through cultivation, solicitation, and long-term engagement.
Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and national Development team to identify funding opportunities aligned with chapter programs and priorities.
Support donor recognition and maintain communication with funders and supporters.
Plan and execute donor engagement events, fundraising activities, and community-facing initiatives.
Maintain donor records, prospect information, and engagement activity in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Support grant proposal development, submission, tracking, and reporting.
Partner with local program teams to connect fundraising efforts with community outcomes.
Represent the chapter at sponsored events, community gatherings, and networking opportunities.
