Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in product management within the insurance or employee benefits industry.
- Deep expertise in Group Benefits products including Group Life, AD&D, STD/LTD, and Statutory PFML.
- Experience with multi-state regulatory environments, product filings, and legislative interpretation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (MS/MBA preferred).
- Proven leadership skills in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment.
- Ability to lead complex strategic initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Advanced knowledge of agile methodologies and project management/collaboration tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Expertise in engaging external partners such as consultants and third-party service providers.
- Experience launching products on new administrative or digital platforms.
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed (approximately 10–15%).
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Group Life and AD&D, Disability (STD/LTD), and Statutory PFML products, including market entry and expansion.
- Drive the development, launch, and scaling of products, including competitive positioning and go-to-market strategy.
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable product, operational, and system strategies for state programs.
- Develop and execute product filings and filing strategies in partnership with Legal.
- Monitor product performance using financial, operational, and market intelligence metrics and recommend improvements.
- Partner with Actuarial and Underwriting teams to support pricing, rate development, and loss ratio performance.
- Lead cross-functional alignment and governance across Legal, Claims, Operations, Finance, and Technology.
- Oversee operational readiness for product launches including system processes and training.
- Mentor and guide junior team members.
