Requirements
- Led or managed multiple public-sector classification and compensation studies for cities, counties, school districts, or state agencies
- At least one of those studies completed within the last 2 years
- Able to name those public clients and allow AlphaGov to cite them on proposals
- CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or equivalent compensation expertise
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and client presentation skills
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus
- Experience with K-12 administrator compensation studies is a plus
- Experience with job evaluation methods such as point factor and market pricing is a plus
- Experience presenting to Boards, Councils, or elected officials is a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as project manager and technical lead on public-sector classification and compensation studies from kickoff through implementation
- Lead job analysis, classification structures, and job evaluation using point factor, market pricing, or comparable methods
- Design peer sets and market surveys; analyze internal equity, compression, and pay competitiveness
- Develop salary structures, grade assignments, and phased implementation cost options
- Present findings and recommendations to managers, Boards, Councils, and employee groups
- Contribute project-manager qualifications, methods, and past-performance content to AlphaGov proposals
