Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific, engineering, pharmaceutical, or related discipline; advanced degree/PMP preferred.
- 7+ years of relevant project management experience in Phase 2/3 vaccine or biologic development.
- Proven experience leading complex, multi-year, integrated product-development programs.
- Working knowledge of the CMC lifecycle from early development through commercialization.
- Proficiency in managing integrated schedules, critical paths, dependencies, and recovery plans.
- Experience managing external service providers (CDMOs, CROs, testing laboratories).
- Experience with contractually rigorous planning, forecasting, and stakeholder management.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Project and Smartsheet.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 tools, including Teams and SharePoint.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical governance practices and Earned Value Management.
- Ability to travel 10–20% domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day CMC project planning and execution, coordinating internal teams and external service providers.
- Translate CMC and program strategy into integrated schedules, budgets, resource requirements, and milestones.
- Develop and maintain logic-linked project schedules, identifying critical paths and risks.
- Establish project controls including action logs, risk registers, and status reporting.
- Monitor project performance and work with leads to address variances and resource constraints.
- Facilitate cross-functional meetings and governance processes to ensure alignment.
- Provide project updates and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage service-provider relationships, ensuring accountability for contractual deliverables.
- Partner with Finance and Earned Value Management teams to monitor budgets and forecasts.
- Support contract planning, including SOWs, RFP evaluations, and contract modifications.
