Requirements
- 6+ years managing capital energy or electric infrastructure projects (generation, storage, substations, or transmission).
- Direct accountability for vendor scope, budgets, schedules, and change management.
- Experience designing interconnection configurations and coordinating with utilities and transmission owners.
- Ability to review and identify gaps in technical documentation including one-line diagrams, protection schemes, and interface control documents.
- Utility-scale generator experience with SCADA, telemetry, and substation automation.
- Working knowledge of interconnection studies and GIA/LGIA obligations.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects across multiple geographies.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, another engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering firms from concept through issued-for-construction design, including substations, switchyards, and protection and control.
- Ensure designs adhere to interconnection study obligations and GIA/LGIA/DIA requirements.
- Coordinate with utilities and transmission owners on facilities and network upgrades.
- Manage Owner's Engineer and EPC interfaces, defining scope, procurement, and construction oversight.
- Write and manage SOWs, RFPs, commercial bid evaluations, and project budgets.
- Oversee SCADA/telemetry engineering, settlement-quality metering design, and ICCP configuration.
- Maintain integrated project schedules and communicate progress and risks to internal stakeholders.
