Requirements
- Experience setting technical direction for complex software products from initial idea through launch and scale.
- Proven track record leading high-impact zero-to-one or early-stage initiatives in ambiguous environments.
- Hands-on expertise in delivering polished front-end applications and robust back-end services.
- Deep experience with JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Angular).
- Strong proficiency in back-end technologies comparable to Python and FastAPI.
- Experience designing scalable APIs, data models, and system architectures with relational databases like Postgres.
- Operational experience with production services in a cloud environment such as AWS.
- Demonstrated success designing and shipping LLM-powered product capabilities, including evaluation and guardrail approaches.
- Ability to influence senior product and business leaders through strong technical judgment.
- Experience establishing effective practices for AI-enabled development tools and team mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and lead execution for a major zero-to-one initiative, from early discovery and prototyping through production launch.
- Partner with senior clinical, policy, product, and operations leaders to shape strategy and translate care-decision workflows into reliable systems.
- Own long-term architecture across web interfaces, APIs, data models, AI systems, and cloud infrastructure while remaining hands-on.
- Build and establish patterns for front-end experiences with Vue.js and TypeScript, and back-end services with Python, FastAPI, and Postgres.
- Design and productionize LLM-powered capabilities, defining evaluation, observability, and guardrail standards for accuracy and safety.
- Navigate ambiguity to balance speed with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate complex technical tradeoffs to senior stakeholders to drive alignment and decision-making.
