Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing or leading software engineers.
- Strong hands-on software engineering background.
- Full-stack or backend development experience with technologies such as React, Next.js, Vue, Python, Node.js, C#, or Go.
- Experience building and operating REST APIs, WebSocket services, and third-party platform integrations.
- Familiarity with relational and/or in-memory data stores such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
- Experience operating production systems on AWS, GCP, or Azure, including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to maintain and scale production-critical distributed systems.
- Strong technical judgment regarding architecture, scalability, and maintainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong people-management capabilities, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Responsibilities
- Hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a team of backend and full-stack engineers.
- Partner with Product to scope, prioritize, and plan platform initiatives.
- Guide architecture decisions for scalable APIs, backend services, and microservices.
- Review pull requests and contribute to design discussions to ensure high-quality engineering.
- Own delivery processes including sprint planning and progress tracking.
- Drive improvements in code quality, automated testing, and CI/CD processes.
- Manage production reliability and observability for business-critical systems.
- Identify and manage technical debt while balancing delivery speed and scalability.
