Requirements
- Doctorate degree (MD, PharmD, PhD) or advanced scientific degree.
- Minimum 7+ years of relevant Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, or Omnichannel experience.
- Strong understanding of Medical Affairs planning, scientific engagement, and compliant medical information dissemination.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional planning in a matrixed environment and influence without authority.
- Experience building or improving governance frameworks and operating models.
- Advanced project and portfolio management skills.
- Data-oriented mindset with ability to interpret engagement analytics and performance measures.
- Strong communication skills with executive presence.
- Collaborative, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Veeva Vault, Power BI, GA4, Snowflake, or content management systems is preferred.
- Experience with medical digital ecosystems and modular content is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Shape and advance the integrated scientific communications strategy for assigned therapeutic areas.
- Lead activation and orchestration of Alnylam’s medical engagement ecosystem across digital and field channels.
- Partner with enterprise capability teams to ensure medical engagement solutions are scalable, compliant, and measurable.
- Establish governance, intake, and operating frameworks for therapeutic-area planning and execution.
- Monitor emerging trends in scientific communications and digital engagement to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
- Manage vendors, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with medical priorities.
- Define and monitor leading indicators and performance reviews to assess engagement outcomes.
