Requirements

  • 3–5 years of product marketing experience, with a strong understanding of B2B marketing strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of small business accounting software, such as QuickBooks or comparable platforms, and ERP or business management systems.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes, business technology, and the challenges faced by growing small businesses.
  • Exceptional writing skills, with the ability to explain complex technical capabilities using clear, direct, and accessible language.
  • Strong ability to translate ERP functionality into practical business value and compelling customer-facing messaging.
  • Analytical and creative approach to positioning, storytelling, content development, and marketing strategy.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables.
  • Strong verbal communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience marketing to or supporting industries such as construction, manufacturing, distribution, or professional services is a plus.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies such as WordPress, Jasper, Camtasia, Asana, CRM platforms, SharePoint, and Wistia is preferred.
  • Direct experience using QuickBooks Online or Desktop is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning and messaging for the QuickBooks migration program, clearly communicating the value of moving to a modern cloud ERP platform.
  • Develop differentiated narratives that explain why and when growing businesses outgrow QuickBooks and other SMB accounting solutions.
  • Build industry-specific messaging and content for construction, manufacturing, distribution, professional services, and related micro-verticals.
  • Develop thought leadership, messaging frameworks, and marketing assets informed by customer needs, industry trends, and market insights.
  • Partner with the broader marketing organization to support end-to-end go-to-market strategies and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with customer advocacy teams to develop and elevate customer stories, videos, and evidence demonstrating successful transitions from QuickBooks.
  • Work closely with product, sales, partner, and industry teams to align messaging with product roadmaps, capabilities, priorities, and customer needs.
  • Use performance data and analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, refine content, and identify opportunities by industry segment.
