Requirements
- 8+ years of experience designing and shipping consumer-facing digital products on mobile and web.
- 4+ years of experience leading and developing product design teams.
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or other complex domains.
- Proven zero-to-one and/or growth experience, including launching new experiences and improving acquisition.
- Deep design systems expertise with a history of building, scaling, or evolving systems used by multiple teams.
- Strong agency and sound judgment to create clarity without waiting for perfect information.
- Experience influencing product strategy, roadmap decisions, and prioritization.
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, Data, Research, and Marketing.
- Excellent communication skills to align designers and senior leadership.
- Comfort using modern AI tools to accelerate workflows and prototype with sound judgment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop product designers across multiple teams or complex areas to foster growth and exceptional work.
- Set clear design direction for zero-to-one and growth initiatives to accelerate product mission and impact.
- Coach teams through experimentation using customer insights, research, data, and prototypes to inform product decisions.
- Balance growth velocity with unit economics, craft quality, trust, accessibility, and long-term experience health.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Research, and Marketing to shape strategy, scope, and trade-offs.
- Represent Design in roadmap, resourcing, and quality discussions to ensure a meaningful voice from the start.
- Support the Design System team through strategic direction, critique, coaching, and cross-functional partnership.
- Build operating practices and decision frameworks to help teams learn continuously and scale quality.
- Identify organizational capability needs and lead attraction, hiring, onboarding, and development of design talent.
- Utilize AI-enabled tools responsibly to accelerate exploration, prototyping, and design system maintenance.
