Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Previous experience in a law firm, legal intake environment, client services, or call center is preferred.
- Knowledge of Social Security Disability programs, including SSDI and SSI, is preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and data.
- Ability to handle high call volumes and multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Proficiency with computers, data entry, CRM platforms, or case management systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Availability to work 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST/EDT.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a welcoming and professional first point of contact for prospective clients seeking information about Social Security Disability benefits.
- Conduct detailed intake interviews to collect accurate medical, employment, personal, and case-related information.
- Screen prospective cases against applicable Social Security Disability eligibility guidelines.
- Explain the disability benefits application and appeals process clearly, accurately, and compassionately.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to online inquiries while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and service.
- Schedule consultations and conduct appropriate follow-up with prospective clients throughout the intake process.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate client information in CRM or case management systems.
- Complete administrative tasks related to client onboarding and case intake.
- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive personal, medical, and legal information, following HIPAA requirements and applicable policies.
