5+ years of experience in the software or storage industry.
3+ years of experience in a pre-sales sales engineer role.
Proven experience selling and architecting data management solutions such as backup, recovery, data migration, and replication.
Solid knowledge of infrastructure technologies including storage, servers, networking, cloud, and hyper-convergence.
Experience with enterprise applications like SAP, Oracle, Exchange, DB2, or SharePoint.
Proficiency with at least one major open systems operating system, hypervisor, or cloud platform.
Experience with sales methodologies such as MEDDIC, TAS, SPIN, or Challenger.
Ability to work in an organized manner using Salesforce.com for data and process management.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Formulate territory and account strategies in collaboration with the account team.
Engage with senior IT leadership to qualify technical, financial, and operational issues.
Drive detailed, executable Technical Account Plans for focus targets and current customers.
Distill discovery findings into concise technical and business value messages for C-level sponsors.
Propose and demonstrate solutions using white boards, pilots, and proofs-of-concept.
Manage documentation and internal updates via Salesforce.com.
Provide technical expertise and enablement for channel and alliance partners.
Continuously maintain market and technical expertise through ongoing training and development.
