Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience in payroll, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, and HR operations.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and federal/state employment laws.
- Experience processing and auditing payroll through an HRIS or payroll platform.
- Experience using an HRIS for onboarding, benefits, performance management, and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee matters with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fully distributed and remote environment.
- Experience within government contracting is preferred.
- Proficiency with Paylocity is preferred.
- Experience with ESOP organizations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters, including policies, benefits, leave, performance management, and employee relations.
- Provide practical guidance to managers on employee development, performance feedback, corrective actions, and day-to-day people matters.
- Conduct and support employee relations inquiries and workplace investigations.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans and open enrollment.
- Process and audit payroll through Paylocity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring activities and new-hire experience.
- Support the development of job descriptions, job-leveling frameworks, and compensation structures.
- Ensure HR programs, policies, and practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
