Requirements
- 6–9 years of communications experience, with significant focus on media relations.
- Demonstrated experience managing sensitive, high-stakes communications in a legal, litigation, regulatory, or crisis context.
- Proven ability to work directly with and influence senior leadership and legal counsel.
- Track record of owning complex cross-functional projects with minimal oversight.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and identify proactive solutions.
- In-house experience at a publicly traded company is preferred.
- Familiarity with securities litigation, class action, or regulatory enforcement communications is preferred.
- Experience working alongside outside counsel and understanding communications boundaries in litigation is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Own the litigation communications function end-to-end, developing proactive and reactive strategies for legal and regulatory matters.
- Serve as a trusted strategic partner to Legal and the C-suite, influencing decision-making and presenting solutions for communication risks.
- Lead cross-functional workstreams across Legal, Communications, Policy, and Investor Relations using clear project management frameworks.
- Manage media relationships with journalists covering legal, regulatory, and real estate beats.
- Monitor legal, regulatory, and media developments to integrate intelligence into communication strategies.
- Represent the communications team in legal strategy discussions, stakeholder meetings, and executive briefings.
