Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in the payments or fintech industry.
- At least 8 years in strategic partnerships, business development, or enterprise account management.
- Demonstrated success in owning commercial negotiations and managing multi-million dollar partnerships.
- Proven ability to craft and execute partner strategies resulting in measurable business growth.
- Deep knowledge of global payment methods, financial products, and cross-border payout solutions.
- Understanding of payments cost structure, including interchange, chargebacks, FX, and treasury flow.
- Experience in resolving partner conflicts or escalations across multiple markets or regulatory contexts.
- Experience in marketplace or platform models with a focus on cross-border payouts.
- Experience advising internal stakeholders on partner enablement strategy.
- Experience working with regulators or regulated partners.
- Advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve payout partner strategy to ensure performance, coverage, and alignment with Airbnb’s financial goals.
- Identify partners in each market, structure new deals, and renegotiate existing relationships for cost, reach, and innovation.
- Lead global deal execution, including developing commercial structures and navigating regional regulatory constraints.
- Cultivate executive-level relationships with financial institutions, banks, and payment processors to ensure Airbnb remains a priority client.
- Monitor partner performance and lead cross-functional efforts to address issues, resolve escalations, and evolve terms.
- Collaborate with internal teams including Legal, Treasury, Risk, Product, and Engineering to scale payout infrastructure.
