Requirements
- 8+ years in data, analytics, or business intelligence, including 3+ years leading a function, a team, or a company-wide data initiative.
- Proven experience building an analytics capability from zero-to-one.
- Advanced SQL expertise.
- Deep hands-on experience with modern data stacks (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift).
- Experience with transformation frameworks such as dbt.
- Proficiency with BI platforms like Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.
- Working knowledge of SaaS financial metrics (ARR, retention, CAC, gross margin).
- Track record of designing data governance frameworks.
- Experience building executive-level and board-level reporting.
- Ability to bridge technical implementation and business decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Architect the company's data warehouse, cloud platform, pipelines, data models, and BI infrastructure to replace ad-hoc reporting with reliable, reusable assets.
- Establish governance, definitions, and lineage for company KPIs so metrics live in one governed place and survive audit and investor scrutiny.
- Build automated, recurring dashboards and operating reviews for department leaders, executives, the board, and investors.
- Govern self-service analytics capabilities to ensure data consistency and quality.
- Own platform decisions, vendor relationships, reliability, cost, scalability, and security posture across the data tooling ecosystem.
- Synchronize data across ERP, CRM, planning systems, spend management, HRIS, product telemetry, and third-party sources.
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to identify trends and drive decisions based on evidence.
- Hire, onboard, and develop a high-performing analytics team as the business scales.
