Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering or related technical fields.
- Expert-level SQL proficiency.
- Experience with Python and R.
- Experience with Postgres and cloud-based data warehousing (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake).
- Expertise in data orchestration tools such as Dagster.
- Expertise in dbt for data transformation and modeling.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Metabase, Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
- Experience ensuring data pipeline accessibility for Data Scientists using notebook tools like Hex.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and infrastructure as code.
- Strong collaboration skills to manage cross-functional relationships and decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to use and validate AI coding tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional technical planning to translate architecture requirements into scalable solutions.
- Create and optimize new data pipelines, transfers, and compliance-oriented infrastructure.
- Implement data transformation, integration, and validation processes to support analytics.
- Partner with DevOps to apply deployment, monitoring, and operational standards.
- Lead technical investigations to resolve data issues and recommend process improvements.
- Champion privacy, security, and governance throughout the data lifecycle.
- Mentor engineers and data scientists on best practices, pipeline design, and architecture.
- Contribute to team standards and documentation.
