Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in communications, PR, or marketing, in B2B tech.
- Cybersecurity, AI, or developer-focused experience strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management, credential security, AI agents, and developer workflows.
- Established relationships with security, technology, business, and developer media.
- Ability to partner with executive and technical spokespeople to develop distinctive points of view.
- Demonstrated ability to turn technical concepts into compelling stories, bylines, briefings, and speaking opportunities.
- Strong strategic storytelling and writing skills for technical and business audiences.
- Experience working effectively with marketing, product, engineering, security, legal, sales, and executive teams.
- Proven ability to drive work forward, bring structure to ambiguity, and balance planned work with rapid-response needs.
- Experience using AI tools to increase efficiency while maintaining high editorial judgment.
Responsibilities
- Build media strategies, maintain trusted journalist relationships, support executive and technical spokespeople, and develop opportunities that strengthen 1Password’s position in the market.
- Lead press releases, contributed articles, blog posts, executive communications, media materials, and other content that makes complex topics in identity, access, AI, and developer security clear and relevant.
- Develop media and speaking strategies for major industry events, such as RSA Conference, Black Hat, and Infosecurity Europe.
- Coordinate briefings and interviews, support speaker preparation, and provide on-site communications support.
- Monitor developments in cybersecurity, identity, AI, and technology to develop response plans and coordinate internal input.
- Set goals for communications programs, monitor coverage, message adoption, and audience engagement to refine strategy.
