Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies, or a related field.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong attention to detail for reviewing legal documents.
- Proven ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize workloads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding legal information.
- Understanding of US legal concepts and procedures (preferred).
- Familiarity with Article 9 of the US Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) or secured transactions (preferred).
- Experience with legal software or project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Notion (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Support the US Legal Team with day-to-day support requests.
- Review and analyze incoming liens, notices, and agreements for validity and compliance.
- Draft lien documents, templates, and standard forms under the supervision of counsel.
- Maintain electronic records of liens, contracts, and corporate documentation in the legal database.
- Assist with compliance audits by pulling documentation related to lien processing.
- Maintain trackers for legal matters, contract requests, and filings to deliver status updates.
- Monitor the status of filed liens and proactively manage deadlines.
- Collaborate across internal teams and with external counsel to unblock tasks.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain simple playbooks, checklists, and templates to standardize processes.
