Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or technology-spend management.
- Demonstrated experience improving procurement processes in a high-growth technology company.
- Hands-on experience administering a procurement-orchestration or comparable workflow platform.
- Experience sourcing and negotiating technology spend including SaaS, cloud infrastructure, data, or AI models.
- Experience partnering with Finance and Engineering to manage usage-based technology spend and translate data into commercial decisions.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgment connecting data to business value and unit economics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, hands-on operating style with the ability to move between strategy and execution.
- Demonstrated AI fluency and a desire to redesign workflows around AI and automation.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve Monarch’s company-wide procurement process, including system administration for Zip.
- Lead strategic sourcing and negotiations for material vendors, using market intelligence and business context to improve pricing and value.
- Build a proactive vendor-management program providing visibility into contracts, spend, renewals, and consolidation opportunities.
- Partner with Finance, Engineering, and business leaders to improve the commercial economics of SaaS, cloud, data, and AI spend.
- Drive adoption through clear policies and self-service resources while leveraging AI to automate and accelerate procurement workflows.
