Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly revenue recognition principles.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Effective communication skills with ability to analyze and present financial or operational data.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and data-mining capabilities.
  • CPA certification or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Experience with RAR, SAP, Business Objects, or other relevant financial systems advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Experience in the software or SaaS industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in project meetings to discuss, assess, and document requirements related to U.S. GAAP, with a particular focus on revenue recognition.
  • Partner with management to evaluate the operational capabilities and feasibility of proposed business and system changes.
  • Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), track identified issues, and support their resolution through implementation.
  • Implement and document accounting processes and procedures, including requirements related to SOX compliance and internal controls.
  • Evaluate the accounting implications of proposed operational changes and confirm that they can be supported under ASC 606.
  • Provide accounting guidance and subject-matter expertise to project teams and developers.
  • Support broader team training initiatives and help facilitate the transition to new business models and system workflows.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the transformation and implementation process.
