Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly revenue recognition principles.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Effective communication skills with ability to analyze and present financial or operational data.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and data-mining capabilities.
- CPA certification or equivalent practical experience preferred.
- Experience with RAR, SAP, Business Objects, or other relevant financial systems advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel preferred.
- Experience in the software or SaaS industry is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Participate in project meetings to discuss, assess, and document requirements related to U.S. GAAP, with a particular focus on revenue recognition.
- Partner with management to evaluate the operational capabilities and feasibility of proposed business and system changes.
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), track identified issues, and support their resolution through implementation.
- Implement and document accounting processes and procedures, including requirements related to SOX compliance and internal controls.
- Evaluate the accounting implications of proposed operational changes and confirm that they can be supported under ASC 606.
- Provide accounting guidance and subject-matter expertise to project teams and developers.
- Support broader team training initiatives and help facilitate the transition to new business models and system workflows.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders throughout the transformation and implementation process.
