Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading engineers as a manager or technical lead.
- Proven experience building and operating shared platform and data systems in production.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, or internal platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, internal data services, warehouses, or lakehouses.
- Experience designing platform APIs or integration layers to simplify complex infrastructure.
- Demonstrated exposure to production AI systems, including data architecture influence on reliability and performance.
- Experience with agent memory, retrieval systems, semantic search, or data architectures for LLM-powered applications.
- Experience with Snowflake.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with a bias toward hands-on execution.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, evolving architectural environments.
Responsibilities
- Own shared cloud infrastructure, runtime environments, CI/CD patterns, and platform services for AI engineering teams.
- Design and build a unified data access layer to enable consistent interfaces for fragmented product data.
- Define architectures for shared AI data, including agent memory, context stores, and shared service datasets.
- Build and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines supporting AI workloads and analytics.
- Shape broader data strategy focusing on scalability, reliability, cost, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with AI quality and governance teams to ensure privacy-sensitive data handling and secure access.
- Develop platform patterns, reference architectures, and APIs that reduce fragmentation.
- Contribute directly to production engineering through hands-on coding, code reviews, and architecture design.
- Hire, mentor, and develop engineers to support the growth of the data and cloud platform function.
