Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading engineers as a manager or technical lead.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, developer platforms, or platform engineering.
- Hands-on experience building or operating shared data systems (ETL/ELT, internal data services, warehouse or lakehouse environments).
- Experience designing platform APIs or integration layers for complex infrastructure.
- Demonstrated exposure to production AI systems, specifically data architecture impact on reliability, latency, and cost.
- Experience with agent memory, retrieval systems, semantic search, or data architectures optimized for LLM applications.
- Comfort operating in ambiguous, evolving architectural environments.
- Experience with Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with Snowflake, FiveTran, and DBT.
- Strong bias toward hands-on execution and building scalable foundations.
Responsibilities
- Own the cloud and data foundation for the AI organization, including shared runtime infrastructure, CI/CD patterns, and platform services.
- Design and build a unified data access layer for agents and AI features to ensure consistent storage and retrieval.
- Define architecture for shared AI data, including agent memory and context stores, while partnering with product teams.
- Build and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines (ETL/lakehouse-style) to support AI workloads and analytics.
- Shape technical strategy for data scalability, operability, cost-efficiency, and long-term maintainability.
- Partner with AI Quality & Governance teams to ensure privacy-sensitive data handling and PII-aware workflows.
- Develop platform patterns, reference architectures, and reusable services to guide product teams.
- Hire, mentor, and grow the engineering team.
