Requirements
- 10+ years of senior management experience at a social justice nonprofit organization.
- Proven experience with programmatic, finance, administrative, and operations supervision.
- Deep commitment to Black Liberation, Gender Justice, Climate Justice, and Just Transition.
- Experience guiding rapid organizational growth, change, and transformation.
- Proven ability to lead the development of collaborative, cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify high-impact strategic action from portfolio planning to day-to-day decisions.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills.
- Exceptional writing skills.
- Ability to travel upon request for organizational meetings and staff retreats.
- Ability to work a 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities
- Serve on the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) contributing to mission, vision, strategy, and work plan development.
- Provide executive leadership for the organization’s organizing function, ensuring strategic direction and consistency across regions.
- Support and supervise the Managing Director of Just Transition Municipalities Institute, Senior Director of Organizing, and Senior Director of Narrative Strategy.
- Steward a robust ecosystem of partnerships across local, regional, and national stakeholders to expand collective impact.
- Oversee the development and execution of narrative initiatives, including digital media, film, and popular education platforms.
- Ensure alignment and integration between organizing and other core functions, including programs, policy, and research.
