Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in development, fundraising, or a related non-profit environment.
  • Demonstrated success in donor prospecting, research, pipeline management, and securing funding.
  • Proven ability to manage donor portfolios and align activities with strategic objectives.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret fundraising data.
  • Proficiency with fundraising and project management tools, including Microsoft Office Suite, Asana, Bloomerang (or equivalent CRM), and online giving platforms like FundraiseUp.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills for engaging various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to coordinate volunteers and internal team members.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and evenings, when required.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays and immediate deployment in disaster situations.
  • Must be comfortable working in austere conditions when required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, and qualify prospective donors, corporate partners, and grant opportunities to strengthen the fundraising pipeline.
  • Develop proposals, presentations, and funding applications for individual, corporate, and grant-making organizations.
  • Manage the grants pipeline, including timelines, reporting requirements, and funder stewardship.
  • Lead donor stewardship and recognition efforts, including communications and engagement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain fundraising reports and dashboards to track performance against KPIs.
  • Analyze donor and campaign data to provide insights for fundraising strategies.
  • Oversee donation processing, record-keeping, receipting, and data integrity.
  • Manage third-party fundraising platforms and support campaigns.
  • Represent the organization at donor, community, and partner events.
