Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven experience partnering directly with engineering, design, and QA teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and navigate multi-stakeholder environments, build consensus, and make timely decisions.
  • Strong understanding of software development in at least two of these areas: cloud-based infrastructure, API/backend services, or data platforms/data science.
  • Experience leveraging AI to create repeatable workflows that support decision-making and accelerate product delivery.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable operating effectively in a distributed work environment.
  • Experience building insurance platforms and strong understanding of the policy lifecycle, integrations, data modeling, pricing, and underwriting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Data Science, and domain teams to solve complex product and technical challenges.
  • Drive product discovery across ambiguous, multi-workstream initiatives, using qualitative and quantitative insights to test assumptions.
  • Own Agile product delivery, including goals, priorities, trade-offs, scope, and backlog management across Scrum and Kanban environments.
  • Evaluate build-versus-buy options and recommend approaches that balance product needs, delivery timelines, and cost.
  • Guide technical design discussions, identify dependencies, and consider performance, scalability, security, and architectural quality.
  • Coordinate development efforts, timelines, and deliverables across product owners, project managers, program managers, and scrum masters.
  • Use data and evidence to prioritize work, measure outcomes, and build a strong culture of measurement and informed decision-making.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and roadmap clearly while keeping day-to-day execution aligned with broader strategic objectives.
