Requirements
- Extensive experience in OSP telecommunications engineering, design, construction support or project management.
- Strong working knowledge of underground and aerial OSP infrastructure.
- Knowledge of fiber-optic and copper telecommunications facilities and associated OSP design and construction practices.
- Experience reviewing utility, roadway and civil plans and identifying conflicts with existing telecommunications facilities.
- Ability to interpret existing facility records, field information and proposed construction plans.
- Experience coordinating field surveys, OSP design, permitting and construction support.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, GIS and/or similar OSP engineering and project tracking tools.
- Strong project management, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities across multiple markets.
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers, utilities, municipalities, contractors and internal resources.
Responsibilities
- Manage engineering activities for AT&T LNS relocation and legal mandate projects, primarily within the Indianapolis market.
- Provide OSP engineering and project management support for ADE, ASE and Mobility projects within the Cincinnati market.
- Perform utility conflict analysis throughout Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana, including review of roadway, municipal, DOT and utility improvement plans against existing AT&T facilities.
- Review existing AT&T plant information, field conditions and proposed improvements to identify conflicts and determine appropriate OSP engineering solutions.
- Coordinate field investigations and ensure field information is accurately incorporated into engineering records and designs.
- Develop and/or coordinate OSP engineering designs for underground and aerial telecommunications facilities.
- Support permitting, right-of-way, easement and utility coordination requirements associated with assigned projects.
- Provide engineering support and coordination during construction, including resolution of field conditions and design-related issues.
- Manage project schedules, engineering budgets, deliverables and overall project status.
