Requirements
- BA/BS degree in business/technology or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, Partner Engineering, or related technical pre-sales roles.
- 3+ years of experience in the payments, fintech, or closely related industry.
- Strong technical acumen in API integrations, SaaS platforms, and enterprise architectures.
- Deep understanding of checkout processes and payment systems.
- Extensive experience with e-commerce, in-store, and telesales payment solutions.
- Comfortable writing scripts in at least one programming language.
- Proven ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work independently.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts.
- Executive presence and strong relationship-building capabilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and analyze requirements for enterprise merchant solutions.
- Architect and design elegant, end-to-end solutions for complex merchant integrations and customizations.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Affirm’s integration solutions, checkout processes, and customer journeys.
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product teams to drive opportunities and influence feature prioritization.
- Develop reusable best practices, training materials, and documentation to scale go-to-market efforts.
- Provide technical and architectural input into sales planning, forecasting, and risk assessment.
