- J.D. degree and active U.S. bar membership in good standing.
- 7-10+ years of combined law firm and in-house experience.
- Direct experience negotiating publishing and content licensing deals.
- Strong understanding of partnership economics, revenue share, and IP protection.
- Experience in an entrepreneurial, fast-moving environment with little existing precedent.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex legal risks with business judgment.
- Familiarity with or genuine curiosity about AI-powered legal tools.
- Strong relationship-building skills to partner with cross-functional business teams.
- Willingness to support diverse legal areas including hardware and retail agreements.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate developer and publishing agreements for third-party studios and content creators.
- Structure and negotiate Play Pass content licensing and distribution agreements.
- Lead negotiation of brand and content licensing agreements with entertainment and media partners.
- Act as a strategic legal partner to Business Development and Partnerships teams.
- Support secondary legal functions including retail, distribution, vendor, and hardware supply chain agreements.
- Partner with Legal Operations to design intake, templates, and CLM workflows.
- Manage outside counsel on specialized or high-stakes IP, regulatory, or supply chain matters.
