- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
- Strong foundation in commercial contracts and corporate matters.
- Experience advising startups or technology companies is ideal.
- Business-minded orientation with focus on enabling business while managing risk.
- High motivation, quick to learn, with appetite for feedback.
- Comfort making decisions with imperfect information.
- Enthusiasm for an AI-native way of working and adopting new legal tech.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and help close revenue-critical commercial agreements.
- Manage complex, non-standard deals with demanding requirements.
- Develop and evolve legal templates, playbooks, and risk frameworks.
- Build and refine AI-enabled legal tooling to scale team operations.
- Design and operate lightweight approval workflows and judgment frameworks.
- Support corporate governance, board matters, and entity maintenance.
- Manage compliance areas including data privacy, security, and export controls.
- Advise on employment, IP, and vendor matters.
- Assist with fundraising, M&A, and strategic transactions.
- Partner with sales, finance, product, and operations as a trusted advisor.
