Requirements
- Experience starting and running programs, organizations, products, or communities.
- Ability to execute quickly and make decisions with incomplete information.
- Deep understanding of the AI safety ecosystem and current critical gaps.
- Comfort working with an evolving mandate and shifting portfolio priorities.
- Strong mission alignment regarding the reduction of risks from advanced AI.
- Ability to travel for conferences and events 3–6 times per year.
- Availability to attend meetings in the ET time zone.
Responsibilities
- Own a small portfolio of early-stage bets, running one to three projects at a time.
- Evaluate opportunities across the ecosystem to decide which initiatives to pursue.
- Scale successful pilots by building reliable systems or handing them off to long-term owners.
- Close out projects that have run their course and document lessons learned.
- Grow and manage a small team as projects mature.
- Contribute to org-wide strategy and cross-cutting initiatives.
