Requirements
- At least seven years of progressive experience across multistate payroll, payroll tax, benefits, leave administration, HR systems and people analytics.
- Direct, hands-on experience processing and administering multistate payroll through Rippling.
- Experience managing a payroll-provider relationship, including vendor performance and service delivery.
- Deep knowledge of multistate payroll and payroll tax requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading benefits plan design, renewals, financial analysis and compliance.
- Hands-on experience administering a 401(k) plan and executing annual plan audits and compliance testing.
- Experience overseeing multistate leave administration and coordinating statutory and disability requirements.
- Advanced people analytics capability with experience building dashboards and workforce models.
- Strong financial acumen and experience partnering with Finance on reconciliations and general ledger activity.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including complex formulas and financial modeling.
- Strong HR systems expertise, including configuration, integrations and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, finance, accounting, analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end administration of accurate, timely and compliant semi-monthly payroll for a multistate workforce.
- Serve as internal payroll subject-matter expert and primary administrator for Rippling.
- Lead federal, state and local payroll tax administration, including registrations, filings and year-end processing.
- Lead the strategy, design, financial evaluation and administration of health, welfare and related benefit programs.
- Manage the 401(k) plan, including contributions, audits, compliance testing and Form 5500 preparation.
- Oversee end-to-end leave-of-absence administration and provide guidance to employees and managers.
- Build and advance people analytics capability, including dashboards and recurring reporting for executive insights.
- Optimize workflows, reporting and automation within Rippling and across the People technology ecosystem.
