Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive experience in scientific program management or a closely related field.
- 3+ years of experience directly managing, mentoring, or developing program management professionals.
- Demonstrated experience building, scaling, or significantly improving a program management function or operating model.
- Experience leading programs involving multiple scientific disciplines, teams, and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to operate strategically while remaining close to program execution.
- Experience influencing decisions and creating alignment across teams without relying solely on formal authority.
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong judgment and ability to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead oversight across the program portfolio to promote consistent and effective execution.
- Partner with scientific, technical, and operational leaders to align program priorities and resource needs.
- Facilitate strategic prioritization and risk management across cross-functional programs.
- Develop portfolio reporting and communication mechanisms for organizational leadership.
- Establish and continuously improve the operating model, standards, and practices for scientific program management.
- Manage and coach a team of Scientific Program Managers, supporting career development and role clarity.
- Evaluate and support the adoption of technology, automation, and AI-enabled approaches for program management.
