Requirements
- Associate's degree, technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–2 years of relevant technical experience, with 2–4 years preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical plans, lighting plans, drawings, and project specifications.
- Working knowledge of basic electrical components, including relays, drivers, and ballasts.
- General computer proficiency, including email, spreadsheets, and word processing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field while collaborating with internal and external teams.
- Willingness and ability to travel approximately 90% of the time, primarily Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform onsite startup, troubleshooting, commissioning, and end-user training for lighting control systems.
- Provide expert technical support regarding field applications, product functionality, and system performance.
- Read and interpret lighting plans, floor plans, drawings, and specifications to verify installations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Investigate field issues and coordinate solutions to drive projects to completion.
- Provide engineering and technical support while communicating with cross-functional departments.
- Document field activities and troubleshooting outcomes using standard computer applications.
- Deliver clear training to end users on system operation and maintenance.
