Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • At least 8 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or a related commercial role, ideally involving complex B2B solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in generating revenue growth, developing strategic accounts, and winning new business.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, influencing, and relationship-management capabilities.
  • Proven ability to understand customer challenges and translate technical or operational solutions into clear business value and measurable ROI.
  • Experience working with CRM platforms; Salesforce (SFDC) experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience in municipal water, wastewater, water treatment, or a closely related industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commercially minded, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a broad territory with a high degree of independence.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to manage pipelines, forecasts, account profitability, and multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory growth strategies designed to achieve revenue, profitability, and market-share objectives across the assigned Midwest territory.
  • Identify, qualify, pursue, and close new municipal business opportunities while expanding relationships and solutions within existing accounts.
  • Sell new applications, technologies, and treatment solutions by clearly communicating customer value, operational benefits, and return on investment.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with municipal decision-makers, water treatment operators, engineers, and other influential stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Accounts, Marketing, Pricing, Technical, and other internal teams to develop customer-focused solutions and accelerate business growth.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and reliable revenue forecast using Salesforce and other CRM tools.
  • Manage account profitability through effective pricing strategies, program optimization, and support for accounts receivable activities.
