Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Progressive corporate accounting and audit experience.
- Hands-on experience with multi-entity, multi-currency consolidations, intercompany eliminations, and ASC 830 currency translations.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 830, ASC 718, and ASC 842.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace/G Suite.
- Hands-on experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP, including subsidiary structures and multi-currency configuration.
- Experience managing external audit deliverables and maintaining strong financial controls.
- Demonstrated ability to lead accounting teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Active CPA license is preferred.
- Experience in SaaS or software accounting is a plus.
- Familiarity with close management platforms such as FloQast or Numeric.
- Experience using generative AI tools to automate operational accounting workflows is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Own the global close process, including multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations, intercompany eliminations, ASC 830 currency translations, and U.S. general ledger activities.
- Manage monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, close procedures, and chart of accounts governance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Lead accounting transformation and automation initiatives, incorporating AI tools and modern systems to standardize repeatable close procedures and reduce spreadsheet-driven workflows.
- Prepare audit-ready consolidated and entity-level balance sheet and P&L flux analyses and operationalize technical accounting positions.
- Execute accounting for stock-based compensation under ASC 718 and support other relevant U.S. GAAP requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve accounting processes for greater efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and compliance.
- Manage and mentor a small accounting team, providing direction, coaching, and support.
- Partner cross-functional stakeholders on financial and operational matters.
- Support external audits and ensure timely delivery of required financial documentation.
- Contribute to the implementation and optimization of accounting systems, close management tools, and automated workflows.
