Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant international indirect tax experience in a corporate environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, GST, and JCT regulations and compliance processes.
  • Experience with tax account reconciliations, workpapers, and month-end or quarter-end close support.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large data sets and transaction-level information.
  • Ability to research indirect tax issues and apply findings to business operations.
  • Experience preparing supporting workpapers and maintaining detailed tax records.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Experience with tax technology or e-invoicing platforms (e.g., Avalara, Fonoa) is preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Tax Manager with preparation and submission of VAT, GST, and JCT filings across EMEA and APAC.
  • Prepare and maintain VAT, GST, and JCT account reconciliations and month-end close support.
  • Manage indirect tax audits, notices, and controversy matters including documentation and analysis.
  • Monitor international indirect tax legislation changes and research impact on business.
  • Research VAT, GST, and JCT implications of new business initiatives to mitigate tax exposure.
  • Partner cross-functionally to support implementation of tax requirements for new products and processes.
  • Support tax engine and system testing, including UAT and issue tracking.
