Requirements
- 8+ years of related professional software engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.
- Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple teams and influencing technical strategy without direct authority.
- Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, and data-intensive systems (AWS preferred).
- Experience partnering effectively with Product and Data teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Experience solving complex marketplace, platform, or large-scale operational problems with measurable impact.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience driving projects end-to-end, from discovery and design through implementation, launch, and post-launch support.
- Experience with startup environments preferred.
- Experience developing SaaS applications using AWS preferred.
- Experience with on-call support and resolving complex technical issues.
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Kafka preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver scalable systems to address marketplace challenges.
- Drive technical strategy across the Marketplace organization.
- Mentor engineers and influence key technical decisions.
- Partner with Engineering, Product, Data, and Operations teams to deliver business outcomes.
- Remain hands-on in software development for key initiatives.
- Drive projects end-to-end from discovery through post-launch support.
