Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including revenue accounting and ASC 606.
- At least 2 years of direct people-management experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading an accounting team's day-to-day execution.
- Retail accounting experience, including exposure to reconciliations, deductions, reserves, and close support.
- Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 and translating guidance into practical processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with large transactional datasets.
- Ability to work independently and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Systems and process-oriented mindset with comfort in data configuration.
- CPA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in high-growth or global organizations preferred.
- Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems preferred.
- Experience supporting audits and operating in SOX-ready environments preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Revenue Accounting team by setting priorities, providing regular feedback, and fostering a collaborative culture.
- Own and support monthly and quarterly close activities for retail revenue, including journal entries, reconciliations, and flux analysis.
- Record and analyze accruals, reserves, deferred revenue, and AR-related entries in accordance with accounting guidance.
- Partner with Technical Accounting to assess ASC 606 implications and ensure consistent application across retail programs.
- Stand up and refine scalable accounting processes for new retailer onboarding, including ERP setup and transaction flow validation.
- Identify process gaps and drive improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in revenue workflows.
- Provide clear analysis and insights on retail revenue trends to Finance leadership and cross-functional partners.
