Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of internal and management control systems.
- Ability to thrive in a remote environment.
- Nonprofit accounting experience (strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of people leadership experience (preferred).
- Experience in Salesforce and NetSuite (strongly preferred).
- CPA designation (bonus).
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage members of the accounting team, including setting expectations and providing feedback.
- Manage and oversee a portfolio of chapters' financial needs, including bank, investment, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review internal and external financial statements to ensure accurate and timely monthly close processes.
- Monitor chapter performance against budgets and benchmarking metrics to inform leadership of variances.
- Work with Salesforce to ensure accurate coding and reporting of chapter revenue streams.
- Serve as the primary liaison and relationship manager for assigned chapters.
- Act as the key staff member for annual internal and external audit processes.
