Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as an Accountant, with a focus on Accounts Payable.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and US GAAP.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Critical thinking skills and confidence to challenge the status quo.
- Adaptability, learning agility, and comfort with ambiguity.
- Must be able to work during Pacific Time (PT) hours (9 AM - 6 PM PT).
- CPA license (preferred).
- Proficiency in accounting software like NetSuite, Coupa, GSuite, or Navan (plus).
- Experience with accounts payable in a shared service entity (plus).
- Experience with AI tools and system implementations (plus).
Responsibilities
- Perform the full cycle of accounts payable, including receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices for US, Canada, and Philippines entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, adhering to company policies and deadlines.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with departments to gather documentation for invoice processing.
- Manage the employee expense report processing tool, reviews, approvals, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Aid in prepaid preparation and monthly amortization for month-end close.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including bank matching, AP accruals, and reconciliations per US GAAP.
- Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency.
- Support audit requests with documentation and explanations.
- Partner on finance systems changes and implementations for tools like NetSuite, Coupa, or Navan.
