Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in HR/People Operations, HRIS administration, or related Generalist experience.
- Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or similar).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain policies clearly.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
- A process-improvement mindset with initiative to fix inefficiencies.
- High degree of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- CPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Continuously improve core People Ops processes including onboarding, offboarding, worker data management, and lifecycle transactions.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Manage and maintain HRIS data integrity through regular audits, corrective actions, and system automation.
- Act as an escalation point for HRIS and P&C-owned systems troubleshooting and integration issues.
- Support HRIS upgrades and module rollouts through User Acceptance Testing and documentation.
- Generate complex people analytics reports and identify opportunities to automate manual workflows.
- Lead or support cross-functional projects such as performance and compensation cycles and policy changes.
- Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to federal, provincial, and local employment laws.
