Requirements
- Extensive experience in data engineering and large-scale data system architecture.
- Previous experience managing and developing an engineering team.
- Hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Spark, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience implementing automated testing, data validation, CI/CD, and observability.
- Operational and incident management experience, including SLAs and root cause analysis.
- Proven ability to adopt and scale AI tools in engineering workflows.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
- Fluency in French required.
- Fluency in English required.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, supporting technical growth and career development.
- Define the architectural vision for a large-scale Databricks lakehouse environment.
- Manage the technical roadmap, balancing new features with scalability and technical debt.
- Establish standards for data quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability.
- Drive operational excellence through incident management and on-call ownership.
- Implement responsible AI-assisted development and operational practices across the team.
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and business stakeholders.
