Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Technical depth in building and operating distributed systems at scale.
- Experience leading remote-first, distributed teams.
- Track record of building, growing, and retaining high-performing teams.
- Experience owning delivery of business-critical financial services (trading, treasury, exchange, etc.).
- Strong planning and organizational skills to turn ambiguous goals into a delivery cadence.
- Excellent communication and mediation skills to align cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience with Rust, TypeScript, AWS, and Grafana-based observability is a plus.
- Familiarity with financial infrastructure domains like DeFi protocols, custody, or reconciliation.
- Experience with crypto/web3 technologies or product usage.
Responsibilities
- Run the squad's operating rhythm including planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Set and track team OKRs in partnership with product management.
- Hold regular 1:1s, conduct performance reviews, and manage career development for engineers.
- Provide technical leadership by reviewing designs, architecture, and code to ensure high quality.
- Own reliability outcomes, including SLOs, error budgets, and incident reviews.
- Make pragmatic trade-offs between roadmap, technical debt, and maintenance.
- Partner with the People team to define hiring standards, conduct interviews, and manage onboarding.
- Protect team focus and mediate across product, design, and leadership stakeholders.
