Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product engineering or technical product management within B2B SaaS.
- At least 3 years of experience personally building AI or ML-powered features in production.
- Substantial experience in healthcare IT, including healthcare SaaS, digital health, or EHR environments.
- Practical understanding of clinical workflows and provider information management.
- Working knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards (HL7 v2, FHIR R4, CCD/CCDA).
- Proven experience with HIPAA compliance, PHI, de-identification, and privacy regulations.
- Hands-on production experience integrating LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
- Strong understanding of RAG architectures, including vector databases and embedding models.
- Proficiency with data modeling, SQL, and backend services involving large datasets.
- Ability to balance strategic product vision with hands-on technical execution.
- Strong client-facing, communication, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product leadership to shape the AI roadmap and product strategy.
- Translate clinical workflows and provider pain points into actionable AI requirements.
- Establish evaluation frameworks for AI feature performance, clinical utility, and reliability.
- Engage with clinicians and administrators to validate product direction and gather feedback.
- Design and build production AI features using LLM integrations, RAG pipelines, and vector search.
- Own end-to-end AI architecture, including data ingestion, APIs, and system scalability.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PHI privacy, and security regulatory constraints.
- Contribute to technical delivery through code reviews, design, and hands-on implementation.
- Establish responsible AI practices and internal AI literacy training across the organization.
