Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in government relations, business development, sales leadership, or policy.
- Proven track record of building and managing relationships with government agencies, elected officials, and public sector stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success closing multi-year government contracts and driving revenue in federal, state, or local markets.
- Experience selling enterprise software to state agencies, including Departments of Revenue, Transportation, or Public Safety.
- Familiarity with government contract vehicles such as GSA schedules, state term contracts, and cooperative purchasing.
- Experience working with hyperscale public sector partner programs (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Working knowledge of federal and state grant funding mechanisms for public sector technology.
- Experience managing outside lobbyists and government affairs consultants.
- Experience supporting corporate development, acquisitions, or integration, preferably in private equity-backed settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, law, economics, public administration, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute government affairs and industry relations strategy across all levels of government.
- Manage outside lobbyists and policy consultants to influence legislation and regulatory outcomes.
- Own the full lifecycle of government business development, from early pre-solicitation engagement to contract award.
- Partner with Sales to identify, qualify, and close government opportunities, including state-level agency programs.
- Build channel and technology alliances with major cloud providers, CAD, RMS, and dispatch platforms.
- Source and qualify acquisition targets within the government towing and impound sectors.
- Provide strategic advisory to the CEO on policy risks, regulatory landscape, and public sector market growth.
